Matt Quick wins Daytona but it was not an easy win. After pitting early in the race, he would find himself stuck in the middle of the pack and had to use pit strategy to work his way back to the front. Maybe it was the cat nip in the fuel, who knows but whatever it was Matt was able to bring home the Super Speedway Series Week 2 win and move up 19 spots in the standings after a disappointing 34th place finish last week.
Mark Brown in the number 68 Goodwrench Chevrolet started 12th but worked his way to the front where he would stay most of the night. Unfortunately, Mark had no way to get around the leader; however, he still left Daytona with a second-place finish.
Finally, in third place was one of the fan favorites, Logan Helton. Logan put on a strong showing and ran in the top 5 for the majority of the night, but coming to the finish line he just did not have the help from behind to push him to the lead and had to settle with a respectable third place finish, which also moved him up 10 positions to second place in the standings.
