"Ledfoot" Ledford Wins '87's @ Talladega

James "Ledfoot" Ledford had an impressive showing Wednesday evening as he walked away with the victory at Talladega. James stayed up towards the front all night but nearly ended his evening early as he got loose coming through the tri-oval but was able to hang on and work his way back to the front. Third place finisher Eric Schaus also had a strong showing and looked like he might be the driver to beat but in the post-race interview he admitted he lost concentration for a split second coming to the finish line and drifted up towards the outside wall opening the door for Bud Steele to slip in and steal second place by .004 seconds. Overall, the night was action packed as all the drivers walked away exhausted after trying to hold on to these cars for seventy-five laps.
